Principal Lead for Organisational Development and Culture
I have worked in Learning & Organisational Development for over 20 years, after training and working in Social Work and Social Care prior to this. Whilst working in the independent sector for SWIIS Foster Care between 2008 - 2012 I set up the Learning & Development Service for SWIIS UK and was a member of their Strategic Business Board working on two organisational restructures. I was also a member the Open University's UK Strategic Employers Board.
Most recently I managed the Workforce Development Team within Fife Council who support the Chief Social Work Officer to ensure all Social Work and Social Care staff have the development needed. During that time, I led a range of organisational development initiatives within Fife including designing and delivering Collective Leadership programmes across the Children's Service Partnership Group. I've also worked with senior teams to support leadership development and interpersonal work and began supporting the Partnership's Mission25 Integration Matters vision in 2020. I’m a member of the Scottish Government’s Collective Leadership Group.
I have a real interest in systems leadership and interpersonal behaviours and how these drive and support business strategy and strategic thinking, organisational culture, change and operations.
I live in Anstruther with my wife Lynn and our three dogs and a cat. My two kids have now flown the nest. I have a lifelong passion for music (listening and playing) and enjoy reading and walking my dogs.
