Director of Health and Social Care Partnership
I qualified as a registered nurse and gained an MSc in Primary Care with Queen Margaret University. With over 30 years’ experience, my career has spanned across health and social care covering a diverse range of operational, professional and leadership roles. I have managed Specialist Services, Managed Clinical Networks, Infection Control and Prevention, Clinical Governance and was Lead Nurse for Quality and Assurance. I was senior manager for children's services. Prior to commencing this role, I was the Head of Community Care Services for the Health and Social Care Partnership.
As Chief Officer, I have a lead responsibility in support of the Integration Joint Board. I also have operational responsibility for the delivery across all of Fife’s delegated Integrated Health and Social Care Services ensuring there is both operational management and assurance arrangements in place for their effective working.
I’m a member of the Fife Council and NHS Fife Executive Teams and accountable to the Chief Executives of both partner bodies. I’m also a non-voting member and adviser to the Integration Joint Board as its Chief Officer.
It is a great honour and privilege to lead Fife Health and Social Care Partnership. It is humbling to see the incredible difference that health and social care staff make every day to support the people of Fife. We have made huge strides in recent years, and I want to continue this integration journey, working alongside our hugely talented and committed workforce. I am passionate about health and social care services and working with our partners to create new opportunities and to continue to address the challenges we face to ensure that we can continue to deliver safe and sustainable services, that puts people at the heart of everything we do for all the communities we serve across Fife.
I live in Fife with my husband, four older children and my Australian Labradoodle.
