The Children and Young People’s Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy & Speech & language therapy services are looking to raise awareness of their advice lines.

The advice lines – one for professionals and the other for parents or carers – gives direct access to advice and support from an occupational therapist, physiotherapist or a speech and language therapist.

How can they help?

Occupational Therapy can help if you have questions about how a child plays, enjoys hobbies, manages at school or looks after themselves. You can talk to OT about physical abilities, attention or sensory differences.

Physiotherapy can help with questions about a child’s movement, mobility, and development. They are available to talk about how to help a child with an injury or pain.

Speech and Language Therapy can help with questions about a child’s words, sentences and communication. You can talk to them about how to help a child’s talking and understanding.

Professionals who work with children or young people and have questions can phone 01383 674055 for advice.

And parents or carers who have questions can phone 01592 226699.
